We want to test Napolioni Bolaca if he can still manage to display his skills and he did show some of his skills in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s while playing for the Fiji 1 team at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Fiji Airways National 7s coach Ben Gollings made this comment after being questioned regarding the involvement of Olympic gold medalist and former Fijian Drua squad member Napolioni Bolaca who has been struggling with a torn ACL injury in his right knee since around last year.

Gollings says if they could utilise Bolaca in a game for 3 to 4 minutes, it's a bonus to the National 7s team.

Gollings says in terms of his knee, Bolaca has got no more ligaments in his right knee, and they are not putting him at risk.

He says the reason Bolaca and older players are still playing is that they want to see who wants to put their hands up for the National squad.

Meanwhile, the Fiji 1 side will meet Lavena Reds at 9.20 this morning in the second main cup elimination.

In other elimination matches this morning, Bula Brothers will face Lavidi Brothers at 9.37am, Wardens gold will meet Ravuka Sharks at 9.54am, Police White will face Tabadamu at 10.14am, Raiwasa Taveuni will meet Barbarians at 10.31am, Duibana will take on Army Red at 10.48am, Army Green will face Veiqaravi Nadroga Navosa 1 at 11.08am and Bula Brothers 2 will play Police Blue at 11.28am.

The cup quarterfinals will start at 2.15pm today, the semifinals will begin at 5.25 this afternoon and the final will be held at 7.35 tonight.
