Geographical challenges and power outages can’t stop Nadurutalo from achieving her goal

Despite geographical challenges and power outages, Adi Miriama Vauvata Nadurutalo has finally completed her Bachelor’s of Education from the Fiji National University.

Nadurutalo is a teacher at Nelson Palmer SDA Primary School in Navosa.

She says after 14 years of teaching, her goal has been to upgrade her qualifications and with the unwavering support of her husband, and her family she has successfully achieved this milestone.

The 38-year-old says balancing her roles as a teacher, mother, and student has been a significant responsibility, however, she emphasized that effective time management has been a crucial tool in helping her fulfill her duties both in the classroom and at home.

Nadurutalo says her primary motivation for furthering her studies is her children.

She adds her aims is to be a positive role model for them, inspiring them to set and achieve their own goals.

The mother of three says she plans to enrol in a Postgraduate program in Education in Semester 1.
