The Gau Secondary School netball team will be looking to showcase their talent in the upcoming Punjas Digicel Secondary Schools Netball tournament and aims to stamp their mark in the tournament which starts next Monday.

The principal of Gau Secondary School, Uraia Toribau highlighted this during an interview fijivillage News.

Toribau says their netball players are following the same pathway that the Serevi and Rauluni brothers have followed to reach their dream of donning the white jersey and representing Fiji in rugby but in this case, its in the netball court.

He believes that by creating such pathways for his students in Naivilali, a netball player from the Gau Netball team will be selected to join the Fiji Pearls in the future.

He hopes that the challenges the girls faced in their preparation will motivate them to achieve their dreams next Monday.

Toribau is pleading to the former students of Gau Secondary and their supporters to come in numbers and support their team next week.

The Punjas Digicel Secondary Schools Netball tournament will be held next Monday to Wednesday with a total of 73 schools participating in the 3-day competition.
