The Grand Pacific Hotel, in collaboration with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts will be hosting a first-kind event in Suva and throughout Fiji that will integrates the cultural richness of Fiji with the art of weaving and the world of fine wines.

GPH says the event, which is held at the Rara lounge at the hotel, will allow guests to partake in a delightful evening of artistic exploration every last Friday of the month from 6pm to 8pm.

The first event will be on Friday.

They say under the guidance of Peter Sipeli from guided walking tours Suva, and skilled local artisans, participants will learn the intricate skill of weaving and story-telling.

Sipeli says no prior experience is necessary, as step-by-step instructions and all the required art material will be provided.

He says guests will craft a unique masterpiece to take home, adding a touch of Fijian artistry to one's life or creating a thoughtful gift for a friend.

Portfolio General Manager for IHG Hotels and Resorts Lachlan Walker says this unique offering seamlessly blends the cultural richness of Fiji with the art of weaving and the world of fine wine.

Walker says after this enriching weaving experience, guests will transition into a curated wine-tasting journey with Lawhill Wines.

He says this exclusive experience allows participants to savor exquisite flavors and offers insights into the art of wine-making guided by experts.
