Get ready to dig a bit deeper into your pockets for fuel in the new year as prices are going up but the good news is that the price of gas is coming down.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says the price of unleaded fuel will increase by 4 cents, rising from $2.57 to $2.61 per litre, and premix will also go up by 4 cents to $2.45 per litre.
The price of diesel is going up by 8 cents to $2.35 per litre while the price of a litre of kerosene will increases by 9 cents to $1.86.
The cost of a 4.5kg gas cylinder will fall by 29 cents to $13.33, and a 12kg gas cylinder will go down by 78 cents to $35.55.
Bulk LPG will cost $2.74 per kg after a 6 cent reduction, while autogas now cost at $1.88 per litre, down 4 cents.
