Fuel and gas prices to drop on New Year's Day

Good news for people as the New Year will bring a little bit of relief as the prices of fuel and gas will decrease.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced that price of unleaded fuel will decrease by 10 cents and cost $2.92 per litre.

The price of diesel will drop by 29 cents and will cost $2.61 per litre and premix will decrease by 10 cents and cost $2.73 per litre.

Kerosene will drop by 18 cents and cost $2.04 per litre.

A 4.5kg cylinder of gas will decrease from $15.82 to $15.60 while the 12kg cylinder will decrease by 58 cents and cost $41.60.

The reduced prices come into effect on Monday, January 1st 2024.
