Some good news as fuel and gas prices go down from tomorrow.

Unleaded fuel will go down by 17 cents to $2.95 a litre, diesel will go down to $3, kerosene will go to $2.41 a litre while premix will go down to $2.77.

A 4.5kg cylinder of gas will cost you $15.83 from tomorrow while a 12 kg cylinder will cost $42.22.

Bulk gas will be $3.26 while Auto gas will be $2.17.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says the fuel price review in Fiji follows a one-month lag period and as such, October 2022 local fuel prices are based on imports made in August 2022 by fuel companies.

The major reason for the changes in local prices of fuel products in October 2022 is due to favourable movement noted in the international refined fuel prices in August 2022, that is the price of unleaded fuel, premix, kerosene, and diesel decreased when compared to international refined fuel prices in July 2022.

FCCC says there was favourable movement noted in the international freight rates of all refined fuel products, that is international freight rate also decreased based on August 2022 imports.

The major reasons for the movement in prices for all LPG products in October 2022 in the Fijian economy based on September 2022 Saudi Aramco Butane CP and August 2022 international freight and exchange rate are due to decrease in Butane Contract Price compared to the last review and decrease in average international freight compared to the last review.
