The Amazing Wheelbarrow Race organised by the Frank Hilton Organisation that was held at Albert Park this morning raised more than $247,000 with a total of 23 teams participating.

In a bid to help and improve the lives of Children with special needs at the Frank Hilton Foundation, corporate companies, stakeholders, music bands and government ministries came in unison to participate and donate money to cater for the needs of special children who are looked after by the foundation.

Frank Hilton CEO Sureni Jayaweera told fijivillage News that this is their biggest fundraising for the year and she is hoping to raise their target which is close to $300,000.

Jayaweera acknowledged all the cooperate sponsors and volunteers who took part in the race today.

She says the support is a positive sign for them and the work they do in looking after the needs of kids with special needs.

Fortech Construction Pte Limited scooped first place in the race.
