Melbourne Storm superstar Ryan Papenhuyzen almost single-handedly beat the Brisbane Broncos last night, scoring four tries in just 11 minutes en route to a 40-6 victory.

Also adding four conversions, Papenhuyzen's first-half tally of 24 points was the most by any player in a half since 1980.

The 22-year-old lit up AAMI Park on Good Friday, turning the match on its head after a bright start by the Broncos who led until the 25th minute.

Earlier, the Rabbitohs packed 38 points on the Bulldogs and kept them scoreless in what was a heated Good Friday clash at Stadium Australia.
