Fiji Bati forward Kane Evans

Former Warriors Coach Brian McClennan believes Fiji Bati forward Kane Evans’s contract with the club should be torn up.

Evans is facing a six-game ban at the start of next season following two incidents in the 44-0 loss to the Titans on Sunday.

The former Eels prop was in hot water for a large part of the 2021 season and was also suspended for throwing punches at Sharks centre Will Chambers.

McClennan, who coached the Warriors in 2012 says that the Warriors should cut ties with Evans immediately.

He says twice in a row now Evans has thrown punches and has not even caused a bruise.

Meanwhile the NRL finals kick off this Friday with the Storm taking on the Sea Eagles at 9.50pm in the first qualifying final.
