FIJI Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne says their discipline in the semi finals against Canada was pretty good, although people might say otherwise because they received two cards.
Byrne says a big part of discipline is the amount of penalties they give away, and they have been good in that area.
He says this year they have been really working hard to improve their ability to not give away easy, lazy penalties for being offside.
The Flying Fijians coach says from a perspective on how they go around the ground he thought their discipline has been good, adding while people just see the two cards and might challenge him on that, Byrne says he looks at the game as a whole.
He says over the last 12 months they have improved in getting out of the ruck, rolling away, and getting back onside.
The team had their Captain’s run earlier today as they prepare for the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup tomorrow.
The Flying Fijians take on the Cherry Blossoms at 1.35pm tomorrow at America First Field, Salt Lake City, Utah.
