A Jasper Williams Primary School year 1 student, Vasemaca Drotini was helped by five year 11 students of Natabua High School on Wednesday when they saw her panicking after she lost her bus card and was found crying.

Police say the five boys took it upon themselves to walk the little girl home, which was approximately half an hour away from where they were.

They say on the way, the boys bought her a snack before continuing on their journey, focused on ensuring little Drotini reached home safely.

Police say after reaching home, Drotini told her family the story of how her new friends helped her get home after losing her bus card.

They say the next day her family visited the boys to personally thank them for their selfless act of kindness.

They add their actions also serve as a timely reminder, that a small act of kindness and being aware of what is happening around you, could be a blessing for someone in need.
