Fiji’s upcoming female referee Lavenia Racaca has acknowledged the first-ever Match Official High Performance Camp that was held last week as an eye-opener for her as she strives to reach greater heights in the refereeing.

Racaca is the first female referee in the region to be selected for the camp that was held in Nadi.

The Nanukuloa, Saivou, Ra woman says the course has helped increase her confidence when speaking in front of many and also helped her learn more of the processes that she needs when officiating a rugby match.

Racaca is part of the Lautoka Rugby Referees Association and sometimes is released temporarily to help the Suva Rugby Referees Association in officiating at the Suva Rugby Club Games.

The 29-year-old applauds also acknowledged the Pacific AusSports for funding the camp as without them, the referees would not be able to attend the course and develop their knowledge.
