Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad

In the last one year, the Ministry of Finance has managed to put a lid on government wastage but they still have a lot of work to do.

This has been highlighted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad who says in 2024, the Ministry and particularly the Strategic Planning Office is going to take a decisive step to ensure that they monitor and evaluate their expenditure and make sure they improve service delivery in the country.

He says they also making sure that they bring together better coordination with different ministries to ensure they deliver services to the people.

Professor Prasad says the leaders of the three parties in the coalition government are firmly committed to provide a government that is able to deliver and improve the services in an effective an efficient manner in the next three years.

He further says the government started with inheriting a huge level of debt, a practice of democracy which was bordering on dictatorship and deterioration of many critical services and infrastructure including health, education and physical infrastructure.
