The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will face Ireland in the third cup quarter-finals of the HSBC Sydney 7s.

The Fijiana side finished in second place in their pool after winning two matches and losing one.

They had lost to Great Britain 17-5 in their opening match, but made a comeback in their second and final pool match, defeating the USA 17-14 and thrashing Canada 34-7.

Coach Saisi Fuli says they will need to recover well and assess what is in front of them as they head into the quarter-finals.

He is also proud of what the new players have brought in.

In the other quarter-finals, Great Britain will meet USA, Australia will face France and New Zealand will play Japan.

The women's cup quarter finals will begin at 6.54pm today, the cup semi finals will be at 4.22pm tomorrow, and the cup final will kick off at 8.56pm tomorrow.
