Fijiana lose 21-17 to USA due to missed conversions

Missed conversions have cost the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s after losing their first game to the USA 21-17 this morning.

Fijiana half-back Reapi Uluinasai scored their first try after 2 minutes into the game.

Raijeli Daveua and Ilisapeci Delaiwau also scored a try each in the 6th and the 10th minute while Steph Rovetti, Sammy Sulivan and Ariana Ramsey scored for the USA.

The Fijiana will take on Australia at 12.46pm today before playing Japan at 6.15am tomorrow in their final pool match.

The women’s quarter-finals will kick off at 11.55am Sunday, the semi-finals will kick off at 7.59am Monday and the final will be at 12.43pm Monday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s team will take on Spain at 11.20am today in their first match, they will then play Canada at 4.44pm later today before taking on Argentina at 10.33am tomorrow in their last pool match.

The men’s cup quarter-finals will kick off at 2.22pm tomorrow, the cup semi-finals will kick off at 8.43am Monday and the cup final will be at 1.23pm Monday.
