The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women went down fighting 47-31 against the Western Force in round 4 of the Super W competition.

The Drua started strong with a try to Karalaini Naisewa to lead 7-0.

The Force rallied together, scoring two tries from Sera Naiqama and Tamika Jones to put them to a 21-7 lead.

Naisewa scored again for the Drua through a rolling maul to close the gap to 14-21, but the Force responded with another two tries from Adi Vani Buleki and captain Trilleen Pomare to lead 33-14 at halftime.

The second half saw the Drua trying to make a comeback as they scored the first try from Anna Korovata, but the Force managed to rally back and score through Grace Freeman to extend their lead to 40-19.

Former Fijiana 7s rep Aloesi Nakoci showed her experience and speed as she ran through the Force defence to score the Drua’s fourth try.

The Force received a penalty try in the 71st minute of the match after the Drua intentionally collapsed a rolling maul.

Ema Adivitaloa scored in the 73rd minute, but it wasn’t enough to give them the win.
