After a decade of longing for a child, Fijian couple Roselyn and Samuel finally welcomed a beautiful daughter, describing the moment truly miraculous.
At the end of their nine-month contract with Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme in Australia, Roselyn discovered she was pregnant.
Returning to Fiji, the couple welcomed their daughter, Abigail, whom they call a miracle baby made in Australia and born in Fiji.
The journey began in 2023, when couple joined the PALM scheme, moving to Warragul, Victoria. Roselyn worked in the nursery, learning new skills such as grafting trees and planting in planter bags, while Samual picked tomatoes.
Roselyn says the opportunity allowed the couple to broaden their knowledge, as there was so much to learn from while working under the palm scheme.
She also shared that her dedication to work was recognized, and she was promoted by their team leader during their stay.
The couple’s time abroad also brought financial security, allowing them to rent a house in Fiji and provide everything they needed for their growing family. Now with a beautiful daughter and renewed hope, Roselyn and Samual are looking forward to building a home for their family.
