The Fiji Airways Men’s National Sevens Team will now meet New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup Sevens semifinal after displaying brilliant running rugby to outclass Argentina 43‑7 in the quarterfinal of the Rugby World Cup Sevens.

Fiji ran in a total of seven tries and dominated the game with possession through the breakdowns and restart.

Coach Gareth Baber reminded the players in the huddle on the importance of defense.

Argentina scored in the first minute of the second half.

Fiji 7s captain Jerry Tuwai outclassed the Argentinians throughout the game with his footwork.

Tuwai created opportunities which led to Amenoni Nasilasila and Alasio Naduva’s try in the second half.

Naduva side stepped three Argentinian defenders in the corner to create a try for Leone Nakarawa.    S

Speaking after the Argentina game, Leone Nakarawa said that they will continue to focus on the basics.

New Zealand also beat France 12‑7 while England defeated hosts USA 19‑24 at extra time.

NZ 7s veteran Kurt Baker says that it was an intense match and they hope to improve from their mistakes.
