The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s side was outclassed by a clinical South African side, as they were beaten 17-7 in their second pool encounter at the Cape Town 7s.

Forward Joseva Talacolo scored first for Fiji in the 2nd minute, however, speed and footwork from South Africa saw Shilton van Wyk and Muller du Plessis score to put them in a 12-7 lead at halftime.

Handling errors and poor support play resulted in Fiji failing to capitalize on opportunities.

A well-executed forward drive from South Africa saw JC Pretorius crossing the white line to seal the win for the Blitzbokers.

Fiji will take on Canada in their final pool match at 2:38am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s will face second-ranked Black Ferns at 11:03pm tonight.

The men’s cup quarter-finals will kick off 5.37am tomorrow, followed by the cup semifinals at 1.24am Monday and the cup final will be played at 5:56am on Monday.
