Fiji men’s and women’s hockey teams through to World Cup

The Fiji men’s and women’s national hockey teams have qualified for the FIH Hockey5s World Cup in Oman next year after winning bronze medals during the Hockey5s Oceania Cup 2023 in Australia.

The men’s team beat Solomon Islands 6-1 and while the women’s team Papua New Guinea 6-2 in their respective bronze medal finals.

Meanwhile, Australia and New Zealand won gold and silver respectively in both men’s and women’s finals and are through to the world cup as well.

The inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup 2024 will be played in Muscat, Oman from 24th to 31st January 2024, with 16 teams competing in both men’s and women’s tournaments.
