Fiji Water and Extra Supermarket have made donations to the Veilomani Food Bank.

Fiji Water has made a donation of $10,000 while Extra Supermarket gave 100 food packs.

The Veilomani food bank initiative has been established to assist Fijian families whose family members, relatives or workmates tested positive for COVID-19, and are currently unable to work and put food on the table due to being quarantined.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission CEO  Joel Abraham says gestures like these make a great difference to the lives of our brothers and sisters who are being impacted by Covid-19 and it is very inspiring to see organisations stepping up and embodying the spirit of ‘veilomani’.

Abraham says that, more than ever, this is the time to stand together in solidarity and support fellow Fijians who are suffering, and he looks forward to others lending their support in a similar manner.
