The Pearls managed to push back in the final quarter but the margin was too wide.

The Tongan supporters turned up in numbers to support their side and it was a festive atmosphere at the Vodafone Arena.

In another result, Cook Islands beat PNG 66-48.

The Pearls will be on a bye tomorrow and prepare to meet Samoa at 7.30pm Friday.
