Head Coach for the Men's team, Shaun Corrie says the Fiji Hockey Federation hopes to secure more funds so that both of their teams can compete together in the 2024 FIH Hockey World Cup in Oman.

Corrie highlighted this after the Fiji Hockey Federation received a $20,000 donation from Asco Motors today.

Corrie says both teams of their teams are fortunate to have received support from Asco Motors and other sponsors, but they hope more sponsors will step forward to give them a hand of support in the coming four days before they leave the country on the 20th and 24th of this month.

He further says the main reason they need more funds is to get both teams on a flight because they both need support from their team members while competing at the World Cup.

He adds that through the support from their team members, they have won the Gold medal in the previous Pacific Games in Honiara.

Meanwhile, while handing over the donation, the CEO of Asco Motors Ronald Kumar says they have stepped in after knowing the difficulties faced by the Hockey team.

Kumar says Asco Motors will always stand to support the Fiji Hockey Federation in their participation at the Hockey5s World Cup and hopes they will not only make all Fijians proud but to make all the Pacific Islanders prouder.
