The Fiji Football Association is looking forward to improving in the world ranking with more international matches lined up for this year when questioned by fijivillage News on what is the Fiji FA doing to improve our world rankings.

Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf says Fiji is currently in 168th place in the World ranking.

Yusuf says this will improve as soon as they play international matches which will also train players to do well.

He says in March, Fiji will be playing 3 more international games against Tahiti, New Caledonia and Solomon Islands from which 2 will be FIFA ranking matches. Yusuf says on June 15th to 1st July the OFC Nations Cup between the top 8 countries will be played in Vanuatu.

The CEO says they are also looking forward to improving with 3 matches in March in the Solomon Islands, and 3 pool matches in June whereas in September they are planning to take the team to Asia before the World Cup in November.
