Filipo Bukayaro was instrumental as he put on a man-of-match performance to help Fiji Barbarians beat Police Blue 33-7 in the cup final of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

Bukayaro scored a try each in both halves and displayed fancy footwork and speed throughout the final and went on to be named player of the tournament.

Police Blue were completely shut out in the game as they were pinned back in their own half and starved of possession.

Fiji Barbarians scored 5 tries in the final with Iowane Teba, Iowane Raturaciri and Elia Canakaivata getting a try each while Bukayaro claimed two tries.

Fiji Men’s National 7s coach Ben Gollings has confirmed that they will return the $10,000 prize money.
