Fiji’s national airline, Fiji Airways has been awarded the prestigious 2026 International Flight Services Association (IFSA) Award for Best Inflight Food or Beverage for its Pacific Rim Cuisine.

This recognition follows the recent announcement where Fiji Airways was named an APEX World Class Airline for 2026, among the Top 10 Airlines in the World, marking back to back global accolades that highlight the airline’s position as a world-class carrier and proud ambassador of Fijian hospitality.

The airline says the award celebrates the creativity and leadership of the Fiji Airways’ Guest Experience team and the airlines first local Executive Chef, whose passion for showcasing authentic Pacific flavours has transformed the airline’s onboard dining experience.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fiji Airways, Andre Viljoen says this award is a proud moment for Fiji Airways and for Fiji.

He says the Pacific Rim Cuisine is more than just a meal onboard, it is a story of our culture, our ingredients, and the warmth of Fijian hospitality.

Fiji Airways Executive Chef, Rafaele Galuvakadua says food has the power to connect people, and through their inflight experience, they are connecting travellers to the heart of Fiji before they even arrive.

He says this award belongs to every Fijian whose stories, traditions, and flavours inspire what they serve onboard.
