The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side has turned their focus to this weekend’s tournament in Canada as they hunt for a spot to automatically qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Fiji is currently in fourth place with 84 points in the World 7s Series points table.

Coach Ben Gollings says they had some good games during the LA 7s, but their defence fell short when they faced Argentina in the semi-finals.

He says the LA 7s was also a good outing for the new players that joined the team, and the boys are excited to play again this week at the Vancouver 7s.

Fiji will begin their Vancouver 7s campaign against Kenya at 7.52am Saturday, they will then play Uruguay at 2.16pm Saturday and face Great Britain at 8.42am Sunday in their last pool match. The Cup quarter-finals will start at 3.37pm Sunday, the semi-finals will begin at 9.48am Monday, and the final will be held at 2.26pm Monday.
