Fiji Airways Men’s 7s Coach Gareth Baber has retained 11 of the 12 players who won in the Hamilton 7s last wekeend, with Apenisa Cakaubalavu to step into the squad, replacing Paula Dranisinukula.
Baber says Cakaubalavu has again proven himself on the field this week and he knows he can do the job he needs to do this weekend.
He says Dranisinukula will step back into 13th man this week as they manage the workload and return to full strength.
Baber says they will concentrate on one game at a time.
Meanwhile Gareth Baber says that Waisea Nacuqu and Aminiasi Tuimaba were sick during the week but have recovered now.
Speaking from Sydney, Baber says the two players had suffered from general fatigue.
He adds that due to the hot weather, they are having shorter training sessions to ensure that the players do not get fatigued or pick up or worsen any injuries they are carrying.
Baber says Nacuqu and Tuimaba were given sometime this week to recover and he is happy with the amount of time they spent on the field.
