The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side is looking to repeat their Rugby 7s World Cup victory in Cape Town this weekend.

In an interview after thrashing France 31-0 this morning in their first match, Fiji 7s player Pilipo Bukayaro says they will build on their performance for the next two days and they want to achieve what they did during the World Cup.

He says they were disappointed about the results in Dubai last weekend and they are working on not repeating that result.

Fiji's next match is against South Africa at 9.19 tonight. We then take on Canada at 2.38am tomorrow.

In earlier matches, Spain upset New Zealand 14-10, Argentina beat Kenya 19-5, Samoa beat Uruguay 21-10, Ireland beat Japan 19-5, Great Britain beat Australia 21-19 and USA thumped Uganda 38-5.

The men’s cup quarter-finals will kick off 5.37am tomorrow, followed by the cup semifinals at 1.24am Monday and the cup final will be played at 5:56am on Monday.
