The girl’s grandfather, Munna Lal has confirmed that they have received the message that her father passed away earlier today.

Lal says they have been told that logs had fallen on the man.

Valebasoga Tropik Boards Ltd says the man was transported immediately to Labasa Hospital.

Police have confirmed they received a report from a doctor at Labasa Hospital and they are investigating.

Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in relation to the murder of the 13-year-old girl.
