Father and LegendFM radio personality, Jerry Ligairi is making a heartfelt plea to everyone for assistance to help save his son’s life.

13-year-old Alexander Ligairi, who is currently fighting for his life in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at CWM Hospital, is in urgent need of surgery and a medical evacuation to New Zealand after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

The life-saving operation and evacuation are estimated to cost $440,000.

Ligairi says Alex has now spent 12 days in the PICU, and any form of support would mean the world to them during this critical time.

He has set up a GoFundMe page after reaching the transaction limit for his M-PAiSA and E-Wallet accounts, and says he is overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown so far.

Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of LegendFM, FM96, VitiFM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam is providing support through insurance coverage.

However, additional funds are still urgently needed to ensure Alex gets the treatment he needs.

We urge you to assist us in helping Alex get the much needed surgery.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is also calling on the people of Fiji to come together in support of the Ligairi family.

He says he can only imagine the pain the family is enduring and reminds everyone that every contribution can make a difference.

If you wish to assist, you can donate via M-PAiSA to Ratu Jeremiah Ligairi on 8032661, or to the ANZ Bank Account: Ratu Jeremiah Ligairi – 12964155.

You can also send support through the M-PAiSA account of Ligairi’s younger brother and Alex’s namesake at 9380417.
