A 26-year-old farmer will appear in the Nausori Magistrates Court today for allegedly raping his wife after she had refused to do some work on their farm.
The man also allegedly assaulted his wife following an argument over a personal matter.
He is charged with a count each of assault, criminal intimidation and rape.
Police say the matter was reported by the woman at the Vunidawa Police Station last week.
