Family members of Fiji Water Flying Fijians blockbusting winger Selestino Ravutaumada residing in the UK gathered in numbers to celebrate his achievement after he was awarded the Best Player of the Match Award when Fiji created history defeating England 30-22 on Sunday morning.

Lynda Finau Roqara says the family came together to prepare lovo, BBQ and other dishes as part of the celebration while Ravutaumada sat down with his cousins including Fijian artist Georgina Ledua.

She says Ledua entertained the crowd, and they also shared a few bowls of kava with Ravutaumada.

Roqara says while they celebrate the achievement in England, family members back at Naselesele Village in Taveuni also had a celebration on Sunday.

She says they will be farewelling Ravutaumada today as he departs with the Flying Fijians side to France for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, which kicks off next Saturday.

The Flying Fijians will take on Wales in their first match on Monday, 11th September at 7am.
