More than 30 families in Velaidan Road in Nacovi, Nadi are without water for the last 5 days and are demanding the Water Authority of Fiji to either resume services or at least provide water carting.

A frustrated resident says despite several calls, they have not received water carting or any information apart from a notice that they will be without water tomorrow.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Karishma Kumar says their water tank is empty and they have used up all water stored in bottles and jugs.

She says she has been told that carting trucks will either come this afternoon or tomorrow morning but she is worried about how she will cook dinner tonight.

Kumar says she had to buy bottled water for her 4-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter but needs more water to make dinner.

Questions have been sent to the Water Authority of Fiji. They are yet to respond.
