The Fiji Sugar Corporation has confirmed that they are unaware of any sugar shortage in the country but understand that some shops are limiting purchases to avoid panic buying.
FSC Chief Executive Officer, Graham Clark says they are packing and loading sugar orders as normal despite the lockdown in Lautoka.
Some supermarkets are limiting sugar purchase to 4kg per person.
