The Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises Development or FRIEND in partnership with major food delivery service provider, Food Well Fiji has delivered 500 food packs to struggling families in the Central Division.

The NGO received 1,600 applications from the Lami-Suva-Nausori containment zone.

It says Food Well donated additional vegetables to each food pack that also included baby and sanitary items.

FRIEND has received donations from the Parkinson Pacific Foundation for the Suva Containment Zone.

FRIEND’s Director, Sashi Kiran says with the support of Tour Managers, West teams delivered around 400 food packs to affected families.

She says Cambridge Farms New Zealand continues to supply 50 bags of potatoes and onions each week as part of their generous contribution.

Kiran adds citizen donations have continued to contribute towards the food ration packs.

She says their delivery teams continue to serve many red zone areas with baby and other needs.

You can download the form for Food Relief for Suva and Nausori Containment areas on Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises & Development Facebook page.
