There is some good news for drivers as the Fiji Roads Authority is working to reinstate the road at the slip on the Labasa-Nabouwalu Highway near Korosomo Hill.
Acting CEO, Kamal Prasad says this is a temporary measure.
Prasad says while major realignment work is taking place 100m away from the slip, they are also putting every effort to open the highway at the slip area for heavy goods vehicle by the end of this month.
He says they have investigated and found the ground is now stable at the slip area.
Prasad says the realignment work is taking more time than anticipated.
