Fiji National University Natabua Campus, Assistant Professor Mohammed Feroz Ali has raised concerns about how PEMAC is taught in schools, saying that research has shown that physical education in schools is not delivered in the same way it is taught at FNU.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Assistant Professor Ali highlighted that they train their students to talk about physical education, actively participate, and teach skills across all sports—not just in one particular sport.
He says if we can promote physical education and sports effectively, our hospitals will not be overcrowded.

He adds if more people are healthy, the government will have to spend less on medication.
He also reminded heads of schools during the Fiji Principals Association Conference of the importance of PEMAC, emphasizing that they need to monitor PEMAC teachers in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.
He also emphasized that the food consumed by students and the sanitary lifestyles they live are vital for their overall well-being.
