The Fiji National Provident Fund will be granted an exclusive Casino licence to construct a casino by the new convention centre at Momi Bay which will in turn support members of the Fund.

This has been revealed by the Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum in the 2017-2018 National Budget address.

Sayed-Khaiyum adds that FNPF will build a state of the art, modern day convention centre with the capacity of 4,000 people at a cost of $90 million.

He says that FNPF’s future convention centre will be ready in time to host the Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting in 2019 and $4 million has been allocated for the preparatory works to hosting this meeting.
