FICAC will not issue further responses on probe against MPs

FICAC will not issue further responses on probe against MPs

FICAC says its main consideration is to ensure that a fair investigation is conducted.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption says it is not issuing further responses to questions about the investigation into parliamentarians who allegedly breached eligibility requirements for travel and accommodation allowances.

FICAC says this is to protect the interest of the case.

Fijivillage can confirm that three more Opposition MPs have been questioned by FICAC and are under investigation.

In response to questions by Fijivillage, FICAC says it understands that there is a lot of information circulating in the media but that is beyond their control.

It was earlier said that 8 Opposition parliamentarians and 1 government parliamentarian allegedly claimed travel and accommodation allowances they were not entitled to.
