Another snap voter registration drive will be conducted by the Fijian Elections Office tomorrow and Sunday throughout the country.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says their teams will be based in 23 locations all over the country, and 11 hotspots will be open in the Central Division, 5 in the Northern Division and 7 in the Western Division.

He says people can upgrade to the latest voter card at these hotspots.

Saneem says anyone who just turned 18 years can still vote in the general elections and all they have to do is visit one of these hotspot areas with their Birth Certificate and an already registered adult, preferably parents who can verify the information provided by the child.

He adds they have also launched the 1500 SMS platform which is available for all networks where registered voters can check their polling venue.

The Supervisor says as of the 2nd of this month, there are 691,824 registered voters.
