FDS Barbarians wins all pool matches

Action between Yamacia and FDS Barbarians at the Marist 7s

FDS Barbarians which has the services of Jerry Tuwai, Pio Tuwai, Jiuta Wainiqolo, Anasa Qaranivalu and Taniela Sadrugu has qualified for the cup eliminations of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after beating Yamacia 19-7 in their final pool match this afternoon.

National reps Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Isoa Tabu and Kavekini Tabu who are part of the Yamacia team found it hard to stop the Barbarians attack.

Barbarians scored 3 tries through Pio Tuwai, Kameli Rasaku, and Kitione Salawa.

Captain Jerry Tuwai set up all three tries for the Barbarians.

Barbarians earlier beat Naviavia Gladiators 29-0 and defending champions Police Blue 14-7.

Meanwhile, Defending champions Police Blue have won their last pool game against Naviavia Gladiators 45-0 and is awaiting the seeding of the eliminations to see if they still have a chance to defend their title.

Only the top 16 teams will play in the eliminations to secure their spot in the semi-finals.

Police Blue had earlier lost to Yamacia 14-5 and FSD Barbarians 14-7.

Police Blue is made up of development players, while the Police White team is their stronger team with players like, Livai Ikanikoda, Keponi Paul, Waisea Nacuqu and Terio Tamani.

In other matches this morning, Tabadamu 1 defeated Army Green 26-5, Navutulevu beat Marist 19-5, FDS Barbarians Brothers thrashed Naviavia Gladiators 29-0, Samurai Navatulevu defeated Seniboro Green 27-7, Wadigi Salvo beat Waimanu Green 10-7, Fire thumped Dominion Brothers Blue 38-7 and Wardens Gold defeated Veiyasana 21-14.
