The Uprising 7s team will be relying on their experienced players to guide the majority of the younger players in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s from this Friday.

Team Manager Guyaco Lesidonu says Laisiasa Coge and Esava Kobiti have been with the team from the time of former 7s reps, Waisea Nayacalevu and Avinisi Vasuinubu.

Lesidonu says the players that will feature for them are between 17 to 23 years old.

He says playing in the Marist 7s will also help them financially.

The tournament will kick off with the under 21 and women’s competition on Thursday at the ANZ Stadium.

The pool games in the men's competition starts Friday and it will end with round one of elimination.

The main cup elimination and finals are on Saturday.

There will be three finals in a row on Saturday including the final for the under 21, women’s and main cup.

Tickets are on sale at the Fiji Sports Council.

Ticket prices are $5 flat for day one, Friday is $7 flat and Saturday is $7 for ground and $20 for the grandstand.
