It’s an exciting period ahead for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians as they prepare to take on England and France on their home turf, with the players fully aware of the high expectations from Fijian fans.
This was highlighted by FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Mick Byrne in an interview with Fijivillage Sports.
Byrne says it has been a thrilling experience to coach Fiji during this transformative phase, as the team continues to strengthen its position from Tier Two towards Tier One rugby.
He adds that leading the national side is a people’s job, where expectations from fans remain passionately high.
The Fiji Rugby Union says the team is maintaining strong momentum as preparations intensify for their first match against England.
They confirmed that two productive sessions were held on Monday a split training session in the morning followed by a focused field run in the afternoon.
Currently based at the Lensbury Hotel in Teddington, the team is fully settled and fine tuning combinations ahead of the much anticipated clash with England.
Fiji will face England at 5.40am on Sunday.
