Everything that we had wanted to see from the Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s team happened - we wanted them to start off strongly and they did, even scoring first against Ireland.

Our rugby commentator and former Fijiana flanker, Mere Moto says the Fiji team finally pulled themselves together in their final pool match by defeating Ireland 21-7 to top Pool C.

Moto says there are a couple of things that we need to avoid,

The quarter-finals for tomorrow have been confirmed with Australia taking on Kenya at 5.13am, Fiji face hosts USA at 5.35am, Samoa take on Argentina at 5.57am, and New Zealand go up against Ireland in the last Cup quarter-final match at 6.19am.

The Cup semi-finals start at 9.09am tomorrow and the Cup finals are at 12.28pm tomorrow.

You can catch the live commentaries of Fiji’s games on Viti FM on 92, 92.2 and 92.6 FM with our commentators, Fred Raiwalui and former Fijiana flanker Mere Moto.

You can also download our fijivillage app and listen via the live radio option.
