Escapee Paula Muayara arrested, search continues for second convict Vilimoni Saumaki

Police arrested escapee Paula Muayara this morning while the search continues for the second escapee Vilimoni Saumaki.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu says Muayara was arrested in Narere and is back in Police custody

ACP Driu is requesting members of the public to call the National Command Centre on 9905 296 or Crime Stoppers on 919 if they have any information regarding Saumaki's whereabouts.

He adds the public should know that it is a crime to harbour prisoners.

The two prisoners escaped from the Suva High Court earlier this week.
