EqualMed, who are a Non-Governmental Organization from the United States has donated a wide range of essential medical items such as thermometers, ultrasound gels, walkers, wheelchairs, and umbilical cord clamps to the Fiji’s healthcare system for over a decade.

Assistant Minister for Health & Medical Services, Penioni Ravunawa, says these supplies will be distributed across health facilities throughout the country via the Fiji Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Services.

Speaking at the official handover ceremony, Ravunawa expressed heartfelt appreciation to Equal Med.

He adds that the donation is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing service delivery in hospitals and health centres, particularly in remote and underserved areas.

The Ministry confirmed that the supplies will be promptly deployed where they are needed most.
