Empower Pacific Chief Executive Officer Patrick Morgam says they have provided a list of names of over 400 families to FRIEND Fiji who then provided food packages to families affected by COVID-19.

Morgam says that when they started on March 23rd they received up to 100 calls, however, the number has now reduced to about 12 calls in 24 hours.

The CEO says they started receiving calls from people who are stressed and depressed and most of these people are unemployed.

Morgam says they are also providing psychological first aid in cases where people want to talk about some issues and has assured them that these matters will be confidential.
