The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations says Papua New Guinean media has incorrectly reported that 42 Fijian security officers have been restricted and detained in PNG.
PNG media had reported this week that the 42 Fijian security officers were restricted and detained in PNG.
A statement says in reality, the 42 security officers have not left Fiji.
It says the Ministry is involved in the travel arrangements of the 42 security officers, who are bound for work in PNG.
The Ministry is working with relevant authorities to ensure that all documentation and procedures are taken care of for these workers.
